Dr. Smriti Mahajan is a distinguished psychiatrist with an extensive background in mental health care. She completed her MD in Psychiatry from GMCH Chandigarh, a prestigious institute known for its excellence in psychiatric training. During her senior residency, Dr. Mahajan received comprehensive training in various psychiatric services, including general adult psychiatry, child and adolescent mental health, de-addiction services, and both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. Her experience also spans working in a marital-sexual clinic, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and community outreach programs.
Dr. Mahajan graduated at the top of her class and has developed expertise in managing a wide range of mental disorders, including psychiatric emergencies, as well as employing various psychotherapy and counselling techniques. She is a strong advocate for a collaborative approach to mental health care, working alongside other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
Her special interests include women’s mental health, child and adolescent psychiatry, and marital/family counselling. Dr. Mahajan also focuses on early intervention and prevention strategies to promote mental well-being. Passionate about raising awareness, Dr. Mahajan is dedicated to educating the public about mental health and the importance of seeking help for mental disorders.
