The department is staffed with emergency medicine physicians and nurses, physician assistants, technicians and unit coordinators along with specialists from the laboratory, cardiology and radiology departments.

Yes, usually, but the number of visitors in the treatment area is kept to a minimum. Occasionally, visitors will be asked to remain in the waiting area if patient is admitted in critical area.

 Usually, two visitors per patient are allowed in most areas of the department and passes will  be allotted to them.

No kids are allowed .

Patients are isolated to prevent the spread of disease to other people in the medical environment. Isolated persons are typically either highly contagious or infected by a treatment-resistant organism. Medical personnel visit isolated patients regularly and wear additional protection such as gowns and gloves.

Please bring the following items, as appropriate: 

ID proof of patient

Medical insurance card if any insurance

Your previous medical record if any

Please discuss with the dietitian before bringing in any additional food, and make the doctor, dietitian, nursing staff and ward hostess aware if you have additional specific medical or non-medical needs.
