Dr. Kusum Bhanoo is a highly accomplished Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist at Healing Hospital, Chandigarh, with 24+ years of experience in the comprehensive management of complex eye disorders, advanced cataract surgery, glaucoma management, and surgical ophthalmology. She brings exceptional expertise in phacoemulsification cataract surgery, oculoplastic procedures, and evidence-based ophthalmic care to the Tricity healthcare landscape.

Dr. Bhanoo completed her M.B.B.S. and MS in Ophthalmology from IGMC Shimla. Her distinguished career began as Resident Medical Officer at YM Hospital, Kullu, Himachal Pradesh (2001-2003), followed by service as Medical Officer with HP Government (2003-2004). During her MS Ophthalmology training at IGMC Shimla (2004-2007), she received rigorous training in comprehensive ophthalmology and advanced surgical techniques. Following her postgraduate qualification, Dr. Bhanoo served with distinction in the Indian Navy as Surgeon Lieutenant Commander (2007-2012), posted across premier naval establishments in Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, and Goa.

After her distinguished naval service, Dr. Bhanoo served as Consultant Eye Surgeon at Bhanoo Hospital, Kullu and Mandi (2012-2025), establishing herself as a leading ophthalmologist in Himachal Pradesh. During this extensive 13-year tenure, she performed thousands of successful surgeries, built strong patient relationships, and developed expertise across the entire spectrum of ophthalmic procedures whilst serving the people of Himachal Pradesh with dedication and clinical excellence.
