Dr. Ekta Mishra is a highly accomplished and distinguished FMF (Fetal Medicine Foundation) certified Consultant Radiologist at Healing Hospital, Chandigarh who brings exceptional expertise and dedication to diagnostic imaging and fetal medicine. A cheerful and driven medical professional, Dr. Mishra is known for her ability to efficiently report and interpret a wide range of imaging modalities with precision, clarity, and compassionate patient care.

Dr. Mishra completed her MBBS from Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH-32), Chandigarh, where she demonstrated outstanding academic excellence, earning 7 medals of academic excellence and multiple scholarships during her MBBS and MD tenure. Her exceptional academic performance is reflected in topping her first semester among female candidates and emerging as the winner in both Paediatrics and Community Medicine quizzes. Even before medical school, she was recognized as Tricity Topper in CBSE Board Class 12th (Science) in 2014, receiving a Letter of Appreciation from the HRD Ministry.

She pursued her postgraduate specialization earning her MD in Radiodiagnosis from GMCH-32, Chandigarh, gaining comprehensive training in all imaging modalities including ultrasound, CT, MRI, X-ray, and interventional radiology. She further strengthened her clinical foundation through Fetal Medicine Fellowship and Observership, obtaining Certification of Competence from the prestigious Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF), making her one of the few FMF-certified radiologists specializing in advanced fetal imaging and prenatal diagnostics in the region.

Her areas of clinical interest include comprehensive fetal imaging (advanced prenatal diagnostics using state-of-the-art ultrasound technology), prenatal diagnostics and interventions (early detection of fetal anomalies, genetic screening, invasive procedures guidance), women’s imaging (breast imaging, gynaecological ultrasound, pelvis MRI), MR mammography (advanced breast cancer detection using MRI), sonography across all body regions, and advanced cross-sectional imaging modalities including CT and MRI. She has a keen interest in academic research and continues to contribute to the field through several national and international publications.

She provides detailed fetal anatomical surveys, screens for chromosomal abnormalities, evaluates fetal growth and well-being, assesses placental function through doppler studies, and performs specialized fetal cardiac imaging to detect congenital heart defects—one of the most challenging aspects of prenatal diagnosis.

Dr. Mishra has made significant academic contributions with research publications in prestigious national and international journals including “The Fallacies of Breast MRI” published in CUREUS, “Role of MR Mammography in Evaluation of Indeterminate Breast Lesions” published in Journal of Association of Physicians of India (JAPI), “Iatrogenic Tracheal Diverticulum as a Cause of Subcutaneous Emphysema After Double Lumen Tube Insertion,” “Diverse Pulmonary Manifestations of Paraquat Poisoning: A Pictorial Assay,” and “Interesting Case on Antenatal Diagnosis of Hemivertebra” published in Samrakshan Magazine. She is a Life Member of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA)—the premier organization for radiologists in India, Member of International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG)—the global authority in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound, certified by Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF)—the world’s leading organization for fetal medicine training and research, and member of Samrakshan Program—a national initiative for quality improvement in prenatal diagnostics.

Dr. Mishra is recognized for her articulate and compassionate approach to patient care, ensuring that expecting parents and patients understand their imaging findings, receive accurate diagnoses, and are guided through their treatment journey with empathy and expertise.
